FREQUENTLY ASKED.
Everything you might want to know before running your first tournament on PicklMate.
Getting started
How long does it take to set up a tournament?
expand_more
About 2 minutes. The wizard walks you through name, dates, venue, categories, and pricing.
Do I need a company or GST registration?
expand_more
No. Individual organizers can sign up as sole proprietors. A PAN and an active bank account are typically enough for KYC. You only need GST registration if your annual revenue from services crosses ₹20 lakh (₹10 lakh in special-category states).
Can multiple people manage the same tournament?
expand_more
Yes. Invite teammates with roles — Admins, Tournament Managers, Coordinators, and Scorers — each with their own permissions.
Payments & payouts
How do players pay?
expand_more
Players pay via UPI, debit/credit cards, or net banking through our regulated payment partner. Payments confirm instantly.
When do I get paid?
expand_more
After KYC verification, registrations settle to your bank account on a T+2 business-day schedule.
What's the platform fee?
expand_more
2% per paid registration, added on top of the entry fee. Players pay it — not you. You receive 100% of the entry fee you set.
Can I run a free tournament?
expand_more
Yes. Free tournaments have no platform fee at all. You only pay when players pay.
Scoring & operations
Can a volunteer score without an account?
expand_more
Yes. Share a scoring link, and any volunteer can open it on their phone — no app install, no signup.
How is bracket seeding done?
expand_more
Automatic, using PSI ratings for pickleball. You can also choose manual seeding or drag-drop overrides.
Refunds & cancellations
What if a player drops out?
expand_more
You can issue a refund from your dashboard. The player is refunded to their original payment method.
What if I cancel the tournament?
expand_more
You can issue bulk refunds from your dashboard. The amounts are returned to each player's original payment method, typically within 5-7 business days.
Can I change my entry fee after publishing?
expand_more
Yes, until the first registration is paid. After that, the entry fee for that tournament is locked.
